Second US friendly confirmed for “die Alte Dame”
Match IQ is delighted to confirm a second friendly match for Hertha Berlin on their inaugural US post-season tour! “Die Alte Dame” (The Old Lady) will take-on USL1 franchise Forward Madison FC at 7pm on Friday 24th May at Breese Stevens Field, Madison. This fixture will proceed Hertha’s first US friendly match against Minnesota FC on Wednesday 22nd May at Allianz Field.
Wisconsin has been desperate to bring a professional football club to the state, and in Forward Madison, they have delivered. The club has ambitious plans for the future and will be looking to climb up the US “soccer pyramid” in the coming years.
Football and Wisconsin have a strong affiliation, with the first ever football in the United States played just 65 miles to the east in Waukesha.
